The Gnostic Tripartition of Human Beings Made Understandable to the Layperson
"We are all equal and have equal rights," proclaims the diktat with which we have been indoctrinated for several decades.
Anyone who dares to claim otherwise is immediately looked upon with disdain, considered misaligned, perhaps a conspiracy theorist, or worse, intolerant.
However, the ancient Gnostic doctrine, which today, unbeknownst to you, holds the present and future destinies of unsuspecting people—including yours—is aimed at those who feel different, strangers in this world, and comes to their aid, convinced that it can clarify the nature of their diversity.
The inaccuracy of the diktat used to instruct you is therefore shown by the fact that, based on the principles of such a doctrine, we are absolutely not all equal. Instead, there are three different types of humans, and this concept is particularly peculiar to Valentinian Gnosticism.
In addition, a further inaccuracy emerges from the fact that inequality is a principle of nature, not equality.
The Gnostic Tripartition of Human Beings
According to many Gnostic schools, not all humans are equal from an inner perspective.
The Gnostic vision divides humans based on different levels of consciousness.
The Hylikoi — the people of matter
The term comes from hyle, which in Greek means "matter."
The Hylikoi are completely identified with the material world.
In every human being, there is a spark of Sophia (Wisdom), but according to Gnostic doctrine, the majority of human beings are Hylikoi who are born, reproduce, and die without understanding anything of life's fundamental questions, as they live like animals, victims of passions.
Characteristics:
- they live only for material needs;
- they are dominated by instincts, passions, and desires;
- they do not seek spiritual truths;
- they see reality only superficially;
- they remain "asleep."
The Psychikoi — the people of the soul
The Psychikoi represent an intermediate stage. They possess attitudes of reasoning and of knowing Truth discursively.
Characteristics:
- they develop morality and religiosity;
- they seek meaning;
- they perceive that something exists beyond matter;
- they still live in duality and uncertainty.
The Pneumatikoi — the spiritual people
The word comes from pneuma, meaning "spirit."
According to the Gnostics, the Pneumatikoi possess an active or awakenable divine spark.
Gnostics or Pneumatikoi—Gnosticism states—are capable of deeply penetrating Truth and believe they do not need to be subject to any law, thus attributing to themselves the widest freedom of behavior.
Characteristics:
- they seek inner truth;
- they understand the illusory nature of matter;
- they develop spiritual consciousness;
- they aim for the liberation of the soul;
- they pursue gnosis.

Such a triadic scheme allows me to explain why the masters who "control" your existence, the "super-brothers" of the high masonic degrees (the Pneumatikoi), without having to consult you first (since you are Hylikoi), have self-attributed—in your complete absence—a set of faculties and powers which are currently compressing your present existence and making your future one precarious.
As mentioned, in all forms of Gnosticism, the Gnostic man is considered a type of human being different from the rest of his fellows, a stranger in this world, because he is created and governed by dark powers.
The Pneumatikoi believe themselves to be at the top of a pyramid, with many Hylikoi at its base and a few Psychikoi in the middle.
Although these individuals are convinced that they possess superior peculiarities and knowledge compared to the other two classifications, what they actually do reveals the exact opposite.
They typically live by pretexts, always the first to invoke and uphold the same human rights, which they then equally trample upon according to their convenience at the moment.
What you will truly come to understand if you read these volumes is that what the Pneumatikoi at the top of institutions believe they possess exists only in their distorted mental elaborations.
Being individuals who live in a parallel reality very distant from the one we inhabit, and also being those who, by self-proclamation, manipulate and administer all forms of power, this fact allows you to understand why your life is so degraded and depressing.
In truth, the triadic scheme consists of a rather contradictory esoteric-racist system, in which those at the bottom count for zero, and those at the very base are worth absolutely nothing; in fact, they are the object of all their disdain. If it is possible to exploit them for their own advantage, they will not hesitate for a single moment to do so; otherwise, too bad, they can even die or at most perhaps try to reach the middle category of the Psychikoi.
Am I wrong, or is this precisely how the mad carousel you live on revolves?
This is certainly not the first time you've noticed that everything is the opposite of everything, and indeed, Gnosticism and Masonic doctrine are rather united by shared ideals.
The Pneumatikoi, as mentioned, occupy the top because they claim to possess Sophia (Wisdom) and, by virtue of this, they have placed themselves above all norms, drafting laws from above that they then skillfully evade.
If you pay attention, a rather recent episode masked as a health emergency, in practical terms, mirrored the scheme just explained.
The same logic is applied in masonry.
If you have been admitted to masonry, it means you have been initiated.
Initiation divides society into two precise portions: the initiated mason and the profane (uninitiated).
The latter counts for nothing, exactly like a Hylikoi, because he cannot understand. Obviously, he cannot understand for a combination of reasons. One of these is because he has been deprived of the fundamental elements to understand, not only due to his own actual intellectual deficiencies but also because the tools "controlled" by the Gnostic Pneumatikoi or the initiated in power (media, publishing, education, etc.) are used specifically to obscure his intellectual faculties.
Whether these Masons follow Gnostic or Hermetic directives, ultimately what matters is that they harbor absolute contempt for those at the bottom, meaning the Hylikoi of the profane world, which is you.
The "living conditions" that these shady figures have secretly created around you allow you to confirm the truth of what has just been postulated, and therefore also why your reality is progressively becoming harsher and more inflamed, to the point that they have even managed to steal the expressive joy and smile from the faces of many.
Furthermore, you now also understand why they have no intention of dialoguing with you or listening to your needs, because in addition to the aforementioned reasons, being "wise", they will never descend to the level of a hylic to fulfill their needs, as, as stated, a hylic is only to be despised or exploited.
This explains why politics is irrelevant: you can elect whoever you want, but those who control the puppets of world politics have a single director: They are pneumatics and you are a hylic.
Such principles become even more ruinous if we combine them with the obsessive Masonic precepts such as secrecy, silence, and utmost obedience.
Comparison between Gnostic tripartition and Masonic view
| Gnosticism |
Freemasonry |
| Hylics: men dominated by matter |
Profane: completely immersed in the material dimension |
| Psychics: men in search |
Individuals beginning the initiatory path |
| Pneumatics: spiritually awakened men |
Initiates pursuing light and knowledge |
If you truly wish to delve into this topic, I have comprehensively covered its concepts in Volume 3 of the series, and it is extensively discussed and contextualized throughout the entire work.
How to correctly understand the Gnostic tripartition
Those who wish to understand this phenomenon must avoid some common errors:
Errors to avoid:
Reading isolated, fragmented content or content from New Age disciplines;
Having Gnosticism explained by a Freemason;
Stopping at the surface;
Seeking and settling for immediate answers;
Believing Masonic narratives or the soundness of the proposed theses.
Correct approach:
Complete abandonment of a childish view of life: power does not want your good;
Careful selection of sources from which to draw;
Progressive methodological study;
Constancy, determination;
Structured analysis;
Connection between areas.
In other words:
a path is needed. Because knowledge requires rigor and memory.
A structured path
The main difficulty is not finding information but filtering, organizing, and sequencing it.
A structure to follow is essential for this purpose.
To:
- Build foundations;
- Progressively deepen;
- Connect the levels;
- Read a map to understand the world's narrative.
The path to understanding
The series In the Footsteps of the Freemason is structured precisely to address these elements progressively.
- Each volume adds one or more levels;
- Concepts are developed, reasoned, and finally compared;
- The vision expands.
Conclusion
The Gnostic tripartition – hylics, psychics, and pneumatics – represents:
Symbolically, the different levels of human consciousness;
Practically, it explains who "they" are and who you are.
More precisely, who you are to "them".
To understand the regard "they" have for you, it is sufficient to see how institutions relate to you, for example, the Tax Agency. To what frequent vexations you are subjected. What television "programs" they offer you.
Those who superficially observe the presented reality and are satisfied see disconnected episodes.
Those who analyze reality in depth see an immense puzzle to be reassembled from scratch.
Method is the key.
